Dental, Vision & Hearing Coverage
Routine care Original Medicare does not pay for.

Overview
Cleanings, fillings, dentures, glasses and hearing aids are some of the most common out-of-pocket costs for Florida retirees, and Original Medicare covers almost none of them.
If you have a Medicare Advantage plan, check the benefit details carefully. Many plans include preventive dental but cap comprehensive work at a low dollar amount. If you are on a Supplement, a stand-alone dental, vision and hearing policy can fill the gap.
We compare the plan allowances, waiting periods and dentist networks near you, and we tell you honestly when a policy costs more than the care it would pay for.
What's included
Preventive dental
Two cleanings, exams and X-rays each year, often at no cost.
Fillings and extractions
Basic services covered at 50 to 80 percent after any waiting period.
Crowns, bridges and dentures
Major services with annual maximums from $1,000 to $3,000.

Annual refraction exam with an in-network optometrist.
